Over the past several years, my wife and I have been fostering kittens from the local shelter. This last litter (the cutest yet!) kept playing with a stray rope on a cat tree which triggered the initial idea for the KittyWhip®. I have seen lots of cat wand toys out there but I’ve never seen one made of just cord with nothing at the end (maybe too simple of an idea?). I built one out of parts on hand and both the kittens and our older cats just loved it. They would not leave it alone. That started me on a search for materials and the construction and testing (thanks kitties) of many, many prototypes culminating in the KittyWhip® Cat Toys available here today. Our quest is to offer a sturdy, elegant and engaging cat toy made from all natural, sustainable materials that feels good in your hand, but first and foremost one your cat won’t grow tired of.
